• Blunt nose with relatively small eyes and ears
• Brownish fur, paler on the underside
• Primarily a nocturnal animal though daytime sightings can be evidence of a large infestation

• Lives mostly outdoors though will migrate inside if the environment allows
• Able to reproduce from 12-13 weeks old
• Pregnancy lasts as little as 21 days, able to conceive as soon as litter is born
